Archytas

Archytas was born in 428 and died in 347 BC. He was a mathematician, an astronomer, and a Pythagorean philosopher.

Archytas invented and constructed a flying machine named “petomichani” or “the dove”.

A crater on the moon has also got its name from this ancient Greek scientist!
